OUR STORY
For more than 130 years, we’ve been a standard bearer for French gastronomy, culture and art, this is exemplified in our flagship restaurant in Paris. Our brand has branched out over the decades, offering a range of high-end products, from gourmet treats, kitchen accessories, and now a line of brand new intelligent semi-automatic espresso machines.
History of Maxim's De Paris
Maxim's was born from the famous Parisian restaurant founded in 1893 on Rue Royale. In the late 1890s, Eugene Cornuché transformed the bistro into a stylish venue, emphasizing Art Nouveau decor and attracting high society. Throughout the 20th century, Maxim’s restaurant became a culinary hub for the rich and famous.
A Legacy of Innovation
In 1990, Philippe Poisson and Christophe Brohart reignited the Maxim’s spirit, founding SAPP Maxim's to share French gastronomy with the world.
In 2025 we launched a line of state-of-the-art coffee machines, co-engineered with the help of Parisian design and Italian engineering prowess.
The new line of espresso makers mark a new chapter in Maxim’s influential 130 year journey, this time by bringing the heritage of Parisian café culture to American homes through excellent coffee.

Our coffee machines are not just appliances, they are labours of love. It’s taken four years of Research and Development, and collaboration between Parisian design teams and Italian engineers to produce the new Seine X semi-automatic, intelligent coffee machine.
